Measured lake temperatures
Water temperatures the Environment Agency measured in English lakes, on the days it visited them between May and September. A record of past measurements by month, not today's temperature.
What these readings do not tell you
- the temperature now
- the temperature at the swim spot
- a forecast
- that water is safe to swim
How they were measured
The Environment Agency measured the water's temperature at a lake's sampling points on the days it visited them. A lake can have several sampling points; each reading here keeps its point and its date, and a point has at most one reading a day. Only readings from May to September were collected for this record, so it has no figures for October to April.
